Little Forest (リトル・フォレスト) is one of my favorite movies of all time, but I hardly know anyone who's watched it - most probably because Japanese movies are hard to come by.
Little Forest is a 4-part movie, one for each season, and it's all about a girl living in a small town called Komori (translated as 'Little Forest') and her life among nature and the foods she makes from seasonal ingredients.

She transferred schools and was given a few days to learn for what the rest of the class had done in months before. I actually like this scene a lot, it goes to show that even if you're very smart and studious you're not an undefeatable super-human.

I think I would’ve preferred Rory to stay “perfect” and not turn “realistic”. Seeing her studying and working hard and getting along with everyone gave me a lot of motivation and after a while i just wanted to stop watching it because there was nothing to look up to anymore.

I really don’t get why Rory wanted to be a journalist.
This show motivates me with school so much
some people say that her character went downhill and i understand that but i also understood what it was like study your whole life and you will inevitably burnout that will lead you to make bad decisions, choices and action but it is what life is. you can't expect her to be perfect and be mad when she finally does a mistake, she's also human. her story literally represent every burnout girl, from constantly doing a lot better than other kids at such a young age to having no energy to do anything at all.

She studied for all of her childhood and when she became an adult was not that strong but with her mom that still loves her she became the same a little bit better

Es verdad que el personaje de rory va degradándose a lo largo de las temporadas hasta ser "odiada" pero no creo que sea un mal desarrollo de su personaje ya que es lo más esperable que podía suceder: El típico personaje que es perfecto intentando complacer a todos, buscando el orgullo de todos, viviendo bajo mucha presión por su mamá, sus abuelos viejos de elite y conservadores, la escuela y después la universidad, intentando ser la niña perfecta en cada área. Era obvio que algo iba a salir mal en esa fórmula y en algún momento rory tenía que explotar, liberarse de eso. Creo que si no hubiese ocurrido su "involución ' y hubiera sido siempre la chica perfecta y exitosa cumpliendo las expectativas de todos, su personaje habría sido muy aburrido. Por eso creo que de hecho es el desarrollo de personaje más razonable para ella(dejando de lado que en lo último que se vio de gilmoure girls ella llega a ser bastante cruel y despegada).

I don’t study much which is bad but I wish I was more like her
Most people here are saying that the authors didn't do justice to Rory's character or that she had the worst character development.. I personally think that Rory's older self is a more realistic depiction of what ACTUALLY happens when you grow up . Being good at studies doesn't always mean that you'll excel at LIFE .. Rory was a rational, sweet girl who was a good student but people don't remain the same all their lives studying paves the path for a good life , doesn't automatically transport you to the destination.
I watched GG the first time it aired on the CW/WB. And I have to say it’s still one of the best teen shows around. It was first created in the early 2000s and people still talk about it and watch it today. Not to mention Alexis Bledel is one of the classic beauties that graced a tv show. Her and Leighton Meester (Blair Waldorf) at the other GG show on the CW/WB. Miss those days !
